Lucy and I went to Art Attack this week... she is so funny. She always wants the complete opposite of whatever I would have chosen.I picked a simple vase that I could really customize and make personal. Lucy chose a big dragon that pretty much just left her with the option to paint it one or two colors.
I wonder if I was like that as a kid- more apt to choose something that I knew, so I didn't look silly when "trying" to be creative.
I don't think I was. I'm pretty sure I was that weird kid... haha.
We spent several hours together that day- she was so excited to be able to eat Church's Chicken. It never ceases to amaze me how much she enjoys and appreciates the things I take for granted everyday.
We are going to do some simple crafts next week and take them to the nursing home near her house. Her mom really wants her to understand the importance of giving. And just because she may not have the time or money I have- to give in the way I do- she still needs to see that there are people she can help in whatever way she can.
She's great- and even though sometimes she can drive me crazy- I love her.
